Monet virkkeet olisivat voineet ilmaista selkeämmin ja tiiviimmin. Tällaisessa sarjassa turha kikkailu ei ole oikein hyvä, kun pääpaino ei ole dialogissa. Ehkä tuo käännös on selkeä ja hyvä natiivin puhujan kannalta, mutta ulkomaalaiselle riittää yksinkertaisempikin. Fonttivalinnastakaan en oikein pitänyt, karaokeissa ei ollut efektejä eikä videokuva tässäkään kummoinen ollut. Anonymousubsin julkaisu on pelkkä tekstitiedosto, joten kuvanlaatua yms. ei voi arvioida. Käännös vaikuttaa olevan melko lailla samanlainen kuin SFW:n, mutta englanti ei välttämättä ole kääntäjän äidinkieli. Merkintätavoista en pitänyt alkujaankaan, mutta kyllä tuo muuten menetteli. P-Z:n versioon verrattuna ei ole parempi kuin korkeintaan tarkkuuden osalta. ------------------------ P-Z Subs Toisten blogien haukkuminen oli tietysti oleellinen osa paneelia. Tätä blogia eivät maininneet sanallakaan, mutta onneksi jättivät muitakin mainitsematta. Esimerkiksi Perunan ja Sapulin Popanimea (vai pitäisikö sitä kutsua nimellä #PERUNAONPARAS) eivät enemmälti kehuneet. Itse tunnustan hieman häpeillen, että vasta noin viikko sitten tutustuin siihen tarkemmin (olin ehkä etusivulla käynyt joskus aiemmin). Minä olen sen verran outo, että pidin siitä. Sekavat arvostelut ovat sinänsä ihan huvittavia, mutta enemmän minua kiinnosti muut piirteet. Esimerkiksi kirjoittajien ikä on melkoinen mysteeri. Alusta asti olen epäillyt, että kyseessä on jokin omituinen teekkarihuumorin taidonnäyte. Toisaalta ei ole mahdotonta, että tyypit olisivat vielä peruskoulussa. Heidän hyvä englannin ja japanin osaamisensa puhuu sitä vastaan. Onko kyseessä taitava vedätys vai pelleilevätkö he muuten vain? Toinen kiinnostava asia oli ihmisten suhtautuminen. Monet ovat koettaneet trollata trolleja tai muuten vain vetäneet herneen nenään. Säälin ihmisiä, jotka eivät ole tajunneet sivua trollaukseksi tai vähintään vitsiksi. Kaikkein kiinnostavinta on heidän perustamansa P-Z Subs -niminen fansubbausryhmä, joka speedsubbaa tällä hetkellä Queen's Bladea englanniksi. Itse sarja on melkoista fanipalvelua (omg, tissejä!), mutta ei nyt enempää siitä. Olen hieman kateellinen, kun jaksot saavat saman tien tuhansia lataajia. Minulla on vielä kädenvääntö kesken itseni kanssa siitä, ovatko he finsubbaajia, vaikka ovat suomalaisia fansubbaajia. Kaksi ensimmäistä jaksoa olivat trolleja ja saivat melko kriittisen vastaanoton; eipä ole sen jälkeen tarvinnut esim. AniDB:n arvosanoista huolehtia. Myöhemmistä jaksoista sen sijaan he ovat tehneet osan käsittääkseni itse ja osan kopioineet muilta. Totesin itse jaksojen 6, 8, 9 ja puoliksi 10 olevan muokattuja Anonymousubsin käännöksiä. Anonymousubsin suhtautumista en tiedä, kun se(/he) julkaisee pelkät käännökset julkiseen jakeluun. Ei tietenkään ole oikein hyvien tapojen mukaista väittää kopioituja käännöksiä omiksi. Sitä voi sitten miettiä, onko miten paha asia kopioida jo valmiiksi laittomia käännöksiä... Noh, P-Z Subs sai melkoista draamaa aikaiseksi AniDB:n foorumilla ottaessaan yhteen SFW:n subbaajien kanssa. Ketjussa on vielä yksi todiste sille, miksi ei kannata uskoa kyseisen sivuston arvosanoihin. Episodin jälkeen P-Z rippasi suoraan SFW:n karaoket omaan käännökseensä luultavasti ihan kiusallaan – melkoisia veijareita. Lataajamäärät todistavat, että harrastajat lataavat julkaisuja mielellään myös trolliryhmiltä, jos nämä ovat nopeimpia, tai pikemminkin monet eivät välitä mitä lataavat. Tein pientä vertailua kolmen ryhmän seitsemännen jakson käännöksistä tylsistyksissäni (teksti). Lyhyesti voisin todeta, ettei P-Z Subsin versio ole lainkaan hassumpi. Sitäkin voi pohtia, onko hyvä kääntää sellaiselle kielelle, joka ei ole subbaajien äidinkieli. Kaikkiaan virkistävä tuttavuus, vaikka harva ymmärtää ja vielä harvempi osaa arvostaa. Joo, tiedän trollien haluavan huomiota ja sitä minä juuri annoin. Jännä nähdä, miten Peruna ja Sapuli tähän juoruiluun suhtautuvat. Olisin voinut jakaa postauksen kahtia, mutta lätkäisimpä mielessä olleet asiat tähän samaan.
